Hi Water

Here are some shots at Anchor Marina on Taylor Slough (Bethel Island) following the storm on December 31, 2005. Yes, that's really the top of a levee you're looking at. It was funny to be able to see the boats from the parking lot, and to be able to see land and cattle from the deck of the boat.

That's the top of a levee you're looking at. Six more feet and things would have gotten exciting!

This shot is right after entering the security gate and starting down the ramp. The highest I've seen it before is when that second ramp (in the distance) is level. It's nearly time to get the dinghy out!

It took a little improvising to get some of the older folks to their boats.

It was a raging storm followed by a sunny and eventually very pleasant afternoon.
